Montengro-Nova Zora- is trying too much
Have you heard of the concept of less is more? Well Montenegro has never read the memo about this concept. Here is a song that tries to grab your attention with all it has. Shouty woman, check. Dramatic performance, check. A modern sound(sort of), check. The song has all the ingredients of a Balkan ballad, which got a treatment which aims on hiding the fact that this is a Balkan ballad. In the proces, they also lost any emotional connection. It’s much too technical for me. I am a sucker for a good Balkan ballad, but this isn’t doing it for me.
