Ukraine – Ridnym – is another musical song
2nd year in a row, Ukraine is sending a very weak song. This is 2025 all over again when a weak song from Ukraine will most likely make the cut to the final and won’t stop them from another top 10 result.
This is a ballad and a very Disney like ballad. But a Disney ballad will be memorable enough to stay in your head. This is not that kind of song. It plodders from A to B and is not that interesting to listen to. Given this is Ukraine, you can expect a top-notch staging, but staging should not be enough when the song is so mediocre.
There is no doubt that the Ukrainian diaspora will carry this to the final, but you will not hear anyone complaining about that, because it is Ukraine.
