San Marino – Superstar – is a bit low key
It is a bit strange to say that a disco song accompanied by Boy George himself is a low key song. But there you have it. As a disco song this should have much more energy than what is here on display. A good disco song will make you want to join the dance floor. This one is just tired from start to end and when hearing this song you just think, I am not getting up from the sofa for this song. I’d rather stay sitting.
Senhit is on her 3rd stint on Eurovision stage and she seems to know the crowd she is playing to. Kudos to her for managing to bring another star to the Eurovision stage. In 2021 it was Flo Rida. This time the one and only Boy George, although it seems his part is very limited. Unfortunately for him it is not the best song he is collaborating on.
I would say about this song that it had the potential to be a great song. But the musical arrangement is so shallow and such a let down, that the potential is just missed.
Not the worst song this year, but could have been much much better.
