Georgia – On Replay – is the banger which makes me smile.
Bzikebi represented Georgia in Junior ESC of 2008, which they also won. 18 years later they make their debut in the adult’s contest.
It’s a song which makes me smile. I find myself nodding my head to the sound of this. I also like the beat of the song. It is a song which makes you want to dance. I can easily see myself dancing to the tune in a club. The la la la is a bit repetitive and sometimes it can be an obstacle for a song, but here I am much more forgiving , as I like the positive energy the song brings to the contest. In the video the positive energy translates to the screen very well.
I hope this will also have a good energy when sung live. This song will be performed on the 1st semi-final, just before Finland and the contrast between the 2 songs is just obvious. Give me the Georgian song any time, it is way better than the Finnish song.
