Lithuania – Lion Ceccah – Sólo quiero más
Good old Lion, named after the king of the jungle, decides to sing in just the three languages here which is certainly a novel choice. Hopefully on stage in Vienna he’ll be painted in Silver, excluding the square on his back that if the ORF make up artists miss he could end up an expired Lion.
If, dear reader, I’m more interested in his body painting than the song, that tells you all you need to know.
The verses aren’t up to all that much and pass me by but the thing that gets me is the hook, it burrows into your head like a tapeworm to such a degree its all you can remember of the song. A clever trick I think you’ll agree. Can a song survive on just a chorus alone? – I suspect not because you need an entire package or, say, a rabid and Europe-wide diaspora that will vote for you no matter what. Oh, wait…
