Public Broadcasting Services (PBS) has officially launched the entry phase for the Malta Eurovision Song Contest (MESC) 2026, setting the wheels in motion for Malta’s participation in the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 in Vienna.
According to the announcement, the festival will feature a semi-final on 15 January 2026, followed by the grand final on 17 January 2026.
Starting today, PBS will publish the formal rules and regulations for artists and groups wishing to take part. Submissions of songs will be accepted between 17 November and 23 November 2025.
On 1 December 2025, the broadcaster will announce the 18 semi-finalists who will then compete in the 15 January semi-final. In that semi-final, through combined jury and public voting, the 12 finalists for the final evening on 17 January will be selected.
The winner of MESC 2026 will represent Malta in Vienna for the 70th Eurovision Song Contest.
