Romanian broadcaster TVR is working with Global Records to pick an entry for the 2020 Eurovision Song Contest. Reports suggest three acts have made a shortlist for the job with the winning name to be revealed on February 11.
A professional jury is to pick who sings for Romania in Rotterdam with Global Records providing support and promotion ahead of the competition.
The chosen artist will perform five songs at a national final (Selecția Națională 2020) on 1 March with voting split 50/50 between viewers and an ‘expert’ jury. The songs are due to appear online from 21 February.
From next week, TVR will air daily ten-minute updates.
