The General Assembly is the supreme governing body of the EBU – the organisers of the annual Eurovision Song Contest. All member broadcasters are invited to attend.
The Assembly meets twice a year: the summer session is open for all Members and Associates and is hosted by a Member organisation; the winter session is limited to Members and is held in Geneva.
This year, the key item on the agenda is a discussion regarding the upcoming 70th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest. Members are to debate whether to allow Israeli broadcaster Kan to take part.
Whatever is decided, someone won’t be happy.
