Lithuania has shot up in my estimation based on this rehearsal. The song’s still a bit disjointed but the dancer is something else. He’s proper swarthy looking with a big rugged beard, and to be brutally frank he stole all of my attention way from the song entirely.
But there is a song here. It’s actually not bad at all. Vilija Matačiūnaitė is clad in a tutu – she kept it! – along with some blue and some leatherette. It’s much the same as we’ve seen in the promotional clip so if you like that you’ll not be disappointed. Many don’t though, and won’t be plussed by this if so. Lithuania of course are masters of the unexpected qualification so I kind of fancy Vilija’s chances. Not so much as I fancy her dancer, mind. Woof. As the bears say.
