If you thought Going for Gold used to drag on and on, that ain’t got nothing on any Lithuanian preselection for Eurovision!
As usual this lot are giving us loads of Semi finals. Five of them to be precise, with the top two from each heat qualifying for the final directly. The third place finisher will qualify for a new fangled play-off round, after the fifth semi final for an additional slot in the final, making 11 (well done for keeping up!).
As usual, the performances in the semifinals are all pre-recorded beforehand, so we already knew the performers and song titles, but that’s about it. Here they are though, along with the result. They use a televote and jury system where the jury leader scores 12, then 10, then 8-7-6-5-4-3, televote gives the same for the total result which LRT present weirdly, but I will show you in “normal”.
I love the Ditties, cos who doessn’t love girls in flapper dresses singing the Charleston in Lithuanian?! – The jury, clearly! – Bastards!
