
Italy’s Eurovision 2011 entry is a good song right up until about 65 seconds in, when Raphael Gualazzi sounds like a chicken! This song is wrong, wrong, so wrong after that, and it’s just not fitting in. Again, though, it’s going to get the juries voting for it because it is, after all, the kind of thing they will be instructed to vote for.
I think the staging is clever, with the pianos and stuff in the background and the muted trumpets, but I think vocally, rather than visually, it’s too messy for the ears of Europe to vote for in droves.
