Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...
|

What do you think of bands where everyone wants billing? It works well for a duo or even a trio. But then there are others. Things peaked in 1985 when a whole sextet each had to be named. You know who I’m talking about.
In 1977, Greece broke ground with four performers. In a slight nod to brevity, they only used their first names. But today’s birthday boy Πασχάλης Αρβανιτίδης/Paschalis Arvanitidis got first billing. He must have been proud. He and his pals were named boy, girl, boy, girl, so that was about as equal as they could get. If you’d not spotted, the song was about music lessons. That aside, Greece did really well in London, and didn’t achieve a better result for 24 years.
Pascalis is 80 today.
Χρόνια πολλά, Πασκάλις!
