ONEUROPE: Eurovision Song Contest news
Countries A-M Germany So – for the Christmas Vault – What have we chosen

So – for the Christmas Vault – What have we chosen

Well, quite frankly there is only one choice that we could possibly put in.

A little bit of background for those of you who weren’t even a thought in your parents eyes.  In 1975 Joy Fleming won the German National Final with a song that was not, surprisingly, about civil engineering but about love being a bridge ( I preferred her follow-up single about a massive concrete block being a bridge myself…)

Anyhow, I digress – quite badly so it seems – She had a great song, but did the reverse Atkins diet between Frankfurt and Stockholm, piled on the pounds and the song failed.  She then waited for several million years (well twenty seven) before she nicked the title of a well known Christmas Carol and put in this monstrosity.

Enjoy!
