Reiley’s Eurovision experience has been “amazing” and “such a whirlwind”. He has done and experienced things he never had before (rabid male fans presumably being one of them?), and now everything is lining up for him to open the second semi-final.
That morning began at 05:30, when he had to get up and be ready. The first rehearsal was great, he says, while the second looked so good. He seems pleased, if nothing else. There were also some hair tips to start with, which you’ll excuse me if I don’t recite.
He has made friends in the contest, too. Alika and Alessandra are his “besties”.
Film scores, the Faroe Islands and Grease
Reiley plays classical piano, which he used to play, and enjoys film scores because they paint a good picture. How did he start loving music? At school, in a remake of Grease (Sandy, maybe?).
He still returns occasionally to the Faroe Islands, where he has his own bed and favourite hairstylist. He describes the Faroese people as welcoming, the islands as lovely, and their music culture as varied. His recommendation is simple: you should visit them.
As a TikTok “star”, Reiley is asked about his favourite kind of video. He mentions makeup-transition videos. Has he seen any of Liverpool? Yes, he has been shopping.
He thinks banana sandwiches are tremendous, although he has never actually had one. What a weird question. That leads him into a tangent about Faroese delicacies, followed by a discussion with Timur about food. I’m starving now!!
