I wish Turkey would come back. I must admit I do like their Türkvizyon event, especially with its exotic mix of ‘countries’ from the Mediterranean Sea to the Arctic Ocean. They need to perhaps get the grand dame of the Turkish music scene. No, not Ajda Pekkan, Tuğba Önal or Şebnem Paker, but their only winner to date: Sertab Erener. I’m sure we’d all love to see her again. Sertab is 50 today.
