There are two schools of thought on this.
Mine is that this song is a 2:38 moan by one girl about the other girl’s dead grandma. If anything says Portugal and Fado more than singing about someone dying, this does.
The other school of thought is that Claudia is a Goddess, singing her heart out and emoting down the camera and giving it “the beans”
It just leaves me very cold. Europe’s televoters are going to see something that they are not prepared for – a pink haired girl doing slightly Kate Bush-ish moves. There are very few moments where she looks at the camera, and in a televised song contest that’s surely a problem. It’s just … nothing.
For me, this is going to finish in the bottom half.
