The ten “lucky” entrants that DR chose to fight for the right to represent them at the shuffle-pop-olympics are shown below. There doesn’t seem to be anyone that is instantly recognisable to Eurovision fans in the list below apart from Johanna Beijbom who has been 4 times a backing singer at the contest for various nations of fortune.
[table “2017denmark” not found /]The worrying bit for us all is the fact that DR have only tinkered with the actual National Final formula rather than the complete overhaul non-danes have been clamouring for. Two round final with the top 4 going through to the so-called “Super” Final. However this year’s surprise twist is that 5 “Eurovision Superfans” will make up the professional jury!! They will have 50% of the votes in both the first round and the final but knowing how much Eurovision fans agree with each other ( i.e never) this could actually be interesting.
