ONEUROPE: Eurovision Song Contest news
Contests 2008 The UK of stuff

The UK of stuff

Victor Chandler offers odds of 2/1 against for the UK to finish 23rd or higher in the final. That’s the confidence level we’re beginning at, here.

I’m unsure what to make of it. Andy is showing signs that he thinks he’s entered some kind of “song contest” here. He charges around the stage with some people and some musicians, kind of, y’know… singing. A song. On a stage.

It’s a very nice stage. It’s loads and loads of bright, colourful squares, sort of like Erno Rubik’s bathroom. And a completely black section in the middle where Andy charges around and sings. A song.

Those around me are trying to convince me that odds of 2/1 are worth taking. At this stage, I’m not willing to. I still think the last minute of the song drags when it should be putting the cherry on the icing on top of the cake. It’s giving me Love Power vibes, except that I think that our Andy is a far better singer than the Krazy Mess Groovers were.

I think I need to think about this one.
