It’s that odd time when we’ve all got over Christmas (unless you’re ortodox) and we’re waiting for that end digit to tick over to a ‘9’. Has it been a good year for you?
One country who didn’t have a very good year – Eurovision wise anyway – is the United Kingdom of stuff. They had a nice little national final in some seaside resort and sent the best singer. She only gets invaded and ends up 24th. That position has been the UK’s favourite for three years in the last four. Today’s birthday girl Javine Hylton was also from the UK, and by today’s standards finished 22nd. I’m sure the UK would love a finish like that these days.
Javine is 37 today.
