You might be a little weary of Eurovision after super Saturday – and Sunday. Or you might be wanting more and more and more. And did you spot one of Saturday’s winning song titles?
And that tenuous link brings me onto today’s birthday girl SuRie (née Susanna Marie Cork). Her song went down a storm in Lisbon, in many ways. Stormy-faced could be used to describe Ms SuRie after someone wanted to be an impromptu backing singer for her. But she carried on regardless – good for her. And that means this year – with another storm approaching – we have to hope that history won’t repeat itself.
SuRie is 30 today.
