I’ll elaborate. I was down there with some Riigi pals, and word went around there was a tribute act on the stage. Great thought I, as it was nice to see how the normals react to Eurovision music. We got a good stage, and it wasn’t just any old tribute act. It was only today’s birthday Simone de (Macedo e) Oliveira. She had the audience in the palm of her hand. It was, without doubt, one of the greatest live shows I’ve ever seen. And when she did today’s pick of song, we were all reduced to a big old gooey mess. She is unique.
Simone is 81 today.
