Cast your mind forward to May. You’re lucky enough to be in Lisbon for some riotous cavalcade of quality song. You’re in a venue that hosts music of that genre and the presenter announces that today’s birthday girl will be singing. It’s only Simone de (Macedo e) Oliveira. The place will go wild. Especially if she sings this little number with as much passion as she did in 1969. There won’t be a dry eye in the house. Go on, tell me otherwise.
