Eight songs, all accompanied by the DR Grand Prix orchestra, will compete in one show where the winner will be determined over two rounds of voting.
If you thought Portugal was making it complicated, you ain’t heard nothing yet. In the first round, the three most-voted songs in the public vote qualify for the superfinal, during which the winner will be determined via a combination of public and jury voting, with each having a 50% stake in the results. Viewers will be able to vote via SMS or DR’s Grand Prix app. Prior to the show, the public will be provided with one free vote on the app to cast a vote each day between 6 February 2023 and 10 February 2023, while viewers using the app during the show will be provided with two free votes.
