Czechia has officially begun its search for a Eurovision 2026 song, with Česká Televize opening the national submission window on 3 September 2025. The call for entries will remain open until 27 October 2025, giving artists and songwriters nearly two months to put themselves forward.
Submissions can be made either as complete artist-led entries or as songs only, with performers to be paired later if required. A panel of music experts will review all entries and select the acts that will compete to represent Czechia at the contest in Vienna next May.
The broadcaster has stressed the importance of casting a wide net, encouraging both established musicians and emerging talent to step into the spotlight. “We want to find the strongest possible song and performance for Vienna,” a spokesperson said, highlighting Czechia’s ambition to build on recent momentum at the contest.
This open approach reflects Czechia’s steady evolution within Eurovision, where national selections in recent years have helped uncover fresh names with international appeal. As the deadline approaches, attention will turn to whether rising domestic stars or experienced performers will answer the call.
Czechia’s chosen act and song are expected to be revealed in early 2026.
