IRELAND – Laika Party – Emmy
It’s a song, yeah, about a dog that’s very definitely dead and been in space, having a party (Somehow!).
Bearing in mind what Ireland sent last year, this is a complete juxtapose because whereas Bambi Thug was groundbreaking, this is just trite rubbish. Let’s start with what passes for lyrics, the first verse says that she hopes that this dead dog never died and has a party in the air and always will… yes, that’s right, biology has clearly not been taught in Norwegian schools. In the second verse Lanka is apparently howling for bones…. I mean Jesus Christ talk about trite.
I hate this song, if once can call it that, with every fibre of my being. It is just complete nonsense and, therefore, should qualify with ease because Televoters are fucking thick and go for the lowest denominator and believe you me, this is a definite low light in the contest. Marty Wheelan needs to get the Jamieson out because he’s gonna need it, but not for the reasons he thinks.
