Klavdia – Asteromáta
Greece occasionally tires of sending identikit bops in borrowed clubwear and remembers it has centuries of rich musical tradition to draw from. Asteromáta is one of those moments—a restrained, elegant piece rooted in Greek heritage, full of longing, atmosphere, and that special kind of regional wailing that makes you feel slightly bereft without knowing why.
Klavdia delivers it with poise and sincerity, her voice curling around the verses like a sea breeze over a lonely island. It builds steadily without ever bursting into anything as vulgar as a drop or a key change, and for that alone, it deserves a polite round of applause. It’s earnest, beautiful, and completely out of step with the broader Eurovision landscape.
Expect Cyprus to vote big. The rest of Europe? Possibly too busy voting for something with flames and leather trousers.
