Are you ready to count? This May at the 70th Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna, Austria, LOOK MUM NO COMPUTER will represent the United Kingdom with his song Eins, Zwei, Drei.

LOOK MUM NO COMPUTER says: “I am absolutely buzzing that the world can finally hear what we have created. Eins, Zwei, Drei was born during a session with the other writers and producers on my synthesizer ‘Kosmo’, and I couldn’t be prouder of it. I want people to be able to dance, shout, singalong, and just embrace the absurd jubilation that I hope it sparks when you listen to it. We’re working hard on pulling together all the elements to make it one of the wildest performances to ever grace the Eurovision stage, which is no small feat! See you in Vienna!”

Fuelled by his signature mix of synths and electronic-bass, Eins, Zwei, Drei is a song about escaping the soul-crushing boredom of the nine to five, into a world of dreams and endless possibilities. The song has a whimsical and strikingly witty feel, with playful lyrics and undertones of Britpop and eighties’ synthwave, and is chock-full of uniquely UK references – even the staple dessert of school canteens, “roly poly with custard” gets celebrated amongst the anthemic chants of “Eins, Zwei, Drei”.

We can also announce that bringing LOOK MUM NO COMPUTER’s performance of Eins, Zwei, Drei to the Vienna stage will be none other than Fredrik ‘Benke’ Rydman, the renowned Creative Director and Choreographer responsible for some of the most iconic Eurovision performances in recent memory, including the staging of Switzerland’s 2024 winner, Nemo, with ‘The Code’, Finland’s 2023 runner-up, Käärijä, with ‘Cha Cha Cha’, and Sweden’s 2015 winner, Måns Zelmerlöw, with ‘Heroes’.

Offering up their thoughts on LOOK MUM NO COMPUTER and his UK entry Eins, Zwei, Drei, are BBC Eurovision aficionados Graham Norton, Sara Cox, Scott Mills and Rylan:

Graham Norton says: “This year’s song is a real banger. Joyful and supremely catchy. Hopefully it can get the rest of Europe singing along.”

Sara Cox says: “It’s a rousing, foot stomping anthem that’s like the wild rebellious offspring of 80s new wave and a big fat dirty beat. It grabs you by the ears & is insanely catchy, I think it’s a brave, bold & exciting choice.”

Scott Mills says: “We always get people saying we need to send something a bit different to Eurovision. So here it is! A synth banger from a mad professor of pop that will have them chanting in the arena in Vienna.”

Rylan says: “We were very lucky to hear some of the Eurovision entry submissions beforehand, and I was struck when I heard Eins, Zwei, Drei by LOOK MUM NO COMPUTER. Out of all the entries it was the one that really got stuck in my head… I had to stop myself from singing the track out loud out of fear of someone finding out!”

Bringing the song to life alongside LOOK MUM NO COMPUTER are co-writers and producers:

Lasse Midtsian Nymann (NYLAN) – a writer and producer on Switzerland’s 2024 winning Eurovision song ‘The Code’ by Nemo.

Julie ‘Kill J’ Aagaard – multi-platinum singer/songwriter.

Thomas Stengaard – a writer on Denmark’s 2013 Eurovision winning song ‘Only Teardrops’ by Emmelie De Forest.
