OnEurope’s Eurovision 2004 awards for the first two days of coverage.
Thursday
The Tom McGrath Perpetual Fork (sponsored by the Retail Jewellers of Ireland) – awarded for those special moments that really ought not to be there:
The outright winner was Mr T. Thordarsson – for being camper than Deen and just being here!
Bully’s Special Prize (for those not lucky enough to win the fork):
a) Deen – for looking and sounding like a Dr Who baddy
b) The Lithuanian backing singers – for prancing on a podium and not being Deen
c) The Estonian drummer – for being great and having the most unpronounceable name ever
The OnEurope Golden Fork – for being so fantastic they really should win something:
Albania – because her song is fantastic.
Friday
The Tom McGrath Perpetual Fork (sponsored by the Retail Jewellers of Ireland) – awarded for those special moments that really ought not to be there:
There is only one candidate, unanimously chosen by all five jury members – the one, the only (thank the Lord) SAKIS from Greece (’cos he ain’t gonna win anything else!).
Bully’s Special Prize (for those not lucky enough to win the fork):
Finland – for being excellent!
Monaco – for having a backdrop of a globe, but neglecting to put the continents of North and South America on it.
Switzerland – now this is for being totally rubbish and, in a normal year, would have won the Perpetual Fork (sponsored by the Retail Jewellers of Ireland) hands down. However, he still had competition.
Andorra – because I have edited this, thereby taking her fork away, and that really isn’t on!
And finally – The OnEurope Golden Fork – for being so fantastic they really should win something:
There is only one winner and that is…. RUSLANA – who gets presented with her fork by yesterday’s winner, Thomas Thordarsson – once he stops mincing!
