Day Three brings the OnEurope awards, with Rita from Portugal taking the Golden Fork for sheer marvellousness in performance. Why? Because she’s nice and knows how to sing.
The Silver Fork for outstanding achievement goes to Sertab Erener – for being the potential winner of the Eurovision.
Bully’s Special Prizes go to Israel, for having the audacity to try something different – and failing – and to Austria for the “Egg” Incident!! ;o)
There are two Mikey Joe Harte Awards today, since nobody received one yesterday. These go to the acts with a talent for losing their way in their own songs. Bosnia wins with three votes, although technical problems helped, and Austria also receives one – because he ain’t got anything yet!!
Finally, the coveted Tatu Award goes to the singer or act you most want to stab with a plastic fork. With two votes again – none of them mine, I hasten to add, as I abstained – the winner is Mikey Joe Harte, for being… well… Mickey, apparently!
