It’s a brave thing these days to sing in your own language. I like it, as it shows a pride in your mother tongue, even though not many people may readily understand it. But perhaps because she was performing in Belgrade is what made Olta Boka’s song all the more poignant. And as I was there, I was a little unhappy with certain quarters booing her. Olta is 23 today.
