Romania will win the contest within five years. It’s a much-used adage. Maybe not by you, but definitely by the sort of people I hang around with. I’m convinced it’ll still happen. After all, who would have thought five years ago we’d be in Vienna for a contest. So who knows – in exactly we might have been in Bucharest and could be winging our way to Sydney Manchester Vilnius in May 2021. So where did all of this Romania winning talk start? It might have come from 2005 when today’s birthday girl Luminița Anghel wowed us with a load of oil drums and Anghel angle grinders in Kyiv. Luminița is 47 today.
