How has your 2016 been? A good year? Or one you’d like to forget? Aside from the celebrity death a week, I’ve liked this year. Our favourite TV show was a success – even if it was in Sweden – and we’ve got a cheap old time in Kyiv to look forward to. JESC went OK and our friends at Eurovision Ireland had a presence there. But you’ve not come here for a blatant plug, you want a birthday. I’ve picked a winner who’s not – technically – European, although she’s embraced Europe just like most people from her native Israel.
