Unless you’ve been living on Ganymede in a cave with your eyes shut and your fingers in your ears, you’ll know that the Great Eurovision bandwagon is trundling relentlessly in the direction of Kyiv. Our Ukrainian friends have produced some interesting songs through the years, and today’s birthday girl represented 2016’s host nation.
However, it wasn’t the fine singing voice, or the winsome looks to camera that we remember Тетяна Григорівна Ліберман/Tetyana Hryhorivna Liberman, or Тіна Кароль/Tina Karol to you. No. It’s the skipping rope. It’s the ideal prop. Minimal, yet can take over a whole stage if necessary.
