As with all contests, someone has to come last. It’s unfortunate that sometimes, the song that comes last doesn’t really warrant coming last. But as we know, the right song always wins. So it follows that the right song comes last.
Back in 1984, we were in Luxembourg (remember them? little place, lots of French going on) and some little known country called Sweden won. Propping up the table was this little ditty from today’s birthday girl Anita Spanner-Wagner. Did it deserve to come last, or should that honour have fallen to someone else?
Anita is 56 today.
