Record submissions

SVT says 3,888 songs were submitted for 2026 — the most in Melfest history — underscoring strong interest ahead of the tour. Swedish press has also flagged a selection-process tweak concentrating final song choices within SVT’s core Melfest team, with an external advisory role, replacing the previous external jury’s deciding power.
