There was only one horse in this race tonight. While six other acts were being put through the ordeal live on international television, Laura Thorn stood out as the only contestant who consistently sang in tune.
The jury agreed, awarding her the full 12 points—with the exception of STEFAN from Estonia. Luxembourg’s televoters were less decisive and placed Laura second, but the combined result was enough to send her to Basel for Eurovision 2025 with La Poupée monte le son (“The Doll turns up the Volume”).
Personally, this has a chance of achieving a decent result in Basel, provided Laura can reproduce that vocal performance on the larger stage.
