Is there a country you would like to see win for the first time? Is there a country capable of hosting our favourite TV show that has never won before?
Our friends in Poland have hosted the Junior Eurovision a couple of times and may have proven that they could realistically host Eurovision if and when the time comes. We say “if” because there have been some false starts from TVP.
Take 2024, for example. Poland sent today’s birthday girl, Luna (née Aleksandra Katarzyna Wielgomas), who tried her hardest, using a chess motif for her stage show. Yes, it was black, white and red. Yes, that great chess colour. Anyway, her staging was maybe a bit too busy. Also, as it turned out, Luna was drawn between the top two countries in her semi-final. But, as a positive, it was a good stage show.
Luna is 26 today.
