Phil’s verdicts: 6th to 10th
10th: Spain. This was Spain’s best result in ages, and I hope they were satisfied with it. They deserved more for the performance, though, so I imagine the fans were not exactly delighted that they didn’t win.
9th: Italy. A confusing result. This was a great song, but it was underperformed, which led to 100 points rather than as many as she might have squeezed out of it. An under-par score for this song.
8th: Germany. The complete opposite of Italy: over-scored, if anything. Good looks helped, but it was still a dodgy song. You would think it was friendly to the televoters.
7th: Turkey. Frankly, your guess is as good as mine. This baffles me!
6th: Estonia. Hooray: a good song and emotion equal points. Ott sang well without trying too hard, and ERR should be well chuffed.
